Promises, a inspiring movie

"Why was communication essential to understanding among the children of Promises?"

Promises is a movie that surely influenced some people`s view about conflicts and showed the importance that communication has in today’s society. It showed how life in Jerusalem with the current conflicts between Muslims and Jews is. The movie proves how religion can be a powerful machine to influence people`s live, since that`s the reason why Palestinians and Israelis fight against each other. It use seven children lives to prove this diversity, some Muslims, such as Mahmud, Sanabel and Faraj who live scarcely on the edge of Jerusalem, the West bank; and some Jewish, Yarko, Daniel, Moishe, and Shlomo, who live in the Middle East. The directorB.Z try to make them meet and prove them that not everyone is evil, and yet, they could be friends and start fighting to global peace among all different types of cultures and religions.

The seven kids live 20 minutes apart only, however their boundary separate unlike worlds, in which each one of them support its physical, historical, emotional and mainly religious differences, saying that the other has no right to occupy Israel. The Jews encourage the idea that they were promised by divinely forces to the land of Israel, therefore try to take Palestinians away from Israel, and the Muslims supporting the idea that Jews cannot take them away from the place they were born, making them owners. Their families encourage their children to never accept the other religion and fight for their rights, and so by the beginning of the movie, the kids fell doubtful about if meet their “enemies” would be the right thing to do. Actually, they felt this way because since they were born, they heart about how their enemies had damned their lives and made it frightening and full of uncertainties.

On the Muslim world, we find Mahmud, Sanabel and Faraj. Mahmud was originally afraid of Jews and expressed hatred toward them. He believes just like the common Muslims that Israel belongs to Palestinians, however argued that maybe something could work out to prosper peace. In contrast, Sanabel totally encourage and support peace and compassion, saying that kids are not big enough to judge other people, even because they do not know each other. Even if Jews arrested her father and living in constant dangerous, she says that no matter the cost, she will fight for her peaceful ideas. Last but no least there is Faraj. He firstly was afraid of Jews, and believed that they are murderers, however when he met the other Jews kids, he supported their friendship, and yet, years later in 2001 he moved to the USA and lived with a Jew family, and showed that the reason why Arabs and Jews don’t meet each other is the prejudice and fear.

On the Jew world, we find Yarko, Daniel, Moishe, and Shlomo. Yarko and Daniel are twins whose family support Judaism. The children however, do not belief in the extreme Orthodox Judaism, and yet, they are very open mind toward Arabs, saying that neither sides is right about themselves. Moishe has a very strong opinion about righteous. He encourage the idea that the Arabs had invaded their “Holy City” and hope to become the Israel’s first religious commander in chief. Just like Moishe, Shlomo is an Orthodox Jew, having a very strong feeling of encouraging the attack against Arabs. He say that refuses to get in contact with them because of their different thoughts and cultures.

After B.Z. convince the Jews to meet the Arabs, the kids spend a hole day playing and knowing a little bit better about their lives and what they liked or not. What they noticed is that the differences between their people was little, and they had a bunch of likes in common. The kids played soccer, laughed, ate and danced without any prejudice.

By the end of the movie, it can be notice that what made the kid’s friendship born was their communication that they had along the movie, since by telephone when Faraj and Daniel talked with each other, to when they had fun together. Communication is the only way in which people can know other people’s point of view and get into an agreement. It is need to talk, listen to each opinion, and try to make a solution that will be satisfied in both sides. Communication can be the key for a peaceful world. We just need to have goodwill to make it true.

Earth Day, a path to a sustainable world

On this April 22, was celebrated the Earth Day. This date was established for almost 20 years, during a public protest against pollution and environmental degradation in the USA, which resulted in the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency(EPA). Today several companies, Ong's and employees try to awareness the public to have green attitudes and sustainable, and protect our nature, in order to be worth this great day. See here the to konw better about the EPA.
People are dissatisfied because of the deforestation, the pollution, destruction of the ozone layer, the lack and pollution of water, but it will not be a Ong the  responsible for clearing all this dirt that all we cause. We need the collaboration of each one , change our behavior and have  commitment to our planet, to it always be  a great place to live. With simple actions we can change it, like saving light when you are not using , to separate the garbage in the appropriate garbage bags, recycling materials, reduce the use of paper, using chargeable batteries, buy energy efficient appliances, save water in the shower and  when wash the sidewalk, among many other green actions that can improve life here.

The Earth Day symbolizes the human values, spiritual and natural, seeking all possible help to save our blue planet. So help and do your part for a more sustainable world. see here to more details about the Earth Day.

American History X commentary

Some people have an opinion and never change their mind, others rethink and realize what they really are. Derek's life is an example of someone who achieved a realization that completely changes the course of his life, and a simple word explains it all: coexistence. All around yourself influence, and this is a factor that creates part of your personality. Although the word "prison" sounds horrifying and scary to many people, including me, that was what made Derek, a skinhead, realize what he had in front of him and who he should be. All that bacause there he lived with different people and races, including one that had aversion the most, a black person. see here to know about coexistence and tolerance.

Derek was a skinhead full of hatred and anger at those who are different from himself, whether black, immigrant, everyone and everything other than Americans or whites. He was the oldest man in his house and influenced everyone nest him, especially his brother Danny. Darek did things really badly and over time the racism only increased. see here more about racism.
see here to know Martin Luther King quotes, the leader of movements seeking respect for the rights of blacks and the end of racial discrimination in USA.
The most vilence thing that Derek could did was kill a black man. This man was trying to steal his car, and because of that, Derek was arrested to the prison and he started to work at the jail with a black man. Over time, he realized that living with them wasn't bad at all. When Derek look at himself, he concluded that he wasn't enjoying being with the "white guys" and that made him change all his perspective of hatred to respect and trust in those people. People from diferent kinds of lives, races, and places. see here to know about Edward Furlong

Concluing, Derek could show that we can not judge pople we don't know, because each one has his own personality. I think the right sentence to express Derek's conclusion its " Do not judge by appearances", it doesn't help at all. see here to more details about the movie.

Marvelous piano

"I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts. Like my ribs, my kidneys, my liver, my heart. Like my blood. It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. It was a necessity for me-like food or water."
Ray Charles

My grandma have always played the piano, and her three daugthers also, and thats influenced me to like play the piano. Maybe I was suppose to play since always also but no one forced me to like, I just do it. Its the most intencional thing to me, the sensation to get inside of music gives me all happines. My father said to me that I am able to fell the music and transmite to them, but that I can't understand.
I thing that piano is the most beautiful instrument ever.  The operation its very interesting also, because it has over 200 steel strings parallel and tension that produce 88 notes, with of couse milions of combinations. The short and thin ropes vibrate rapidly produce high notes, while the long roupes, often coated with copper, produce low notes. Also, when we presses a key on the piano, levers propel a padded hammer hitting one or more strings that key's note to then move away. Keep your finger on the button causes the string to continue to vibrate and the sound turns slowly. That makes a more profund sound. Adding this amazing operation and the perfect music, makes the perfect sound, the perfect instrument.
I am each more improving in my music side, doing what I like the most, to get more technique and fealing, to show what I am capable of , because as someone said, we can't be good in everything, so invest in your goods.
"Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music."Jimi Hendrix.
this song is one of my favorite musics, The Lonely Man, Theme from the movie " The incredible Hulk"
